Details:Our client is a renowned catering service located in Ibadan and is currently recruiting for the post of a Pastry Chef with following specifications;Job Responsibilities
Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of clients
Keep the kitchen organized
Prepare wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc.
Follow traditional and modern recipes
Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc.
To ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for baking
Supervise chefs in training in the pastry kitchen
Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standard
Qualification and Experience
Minimum of OND with up to 5 to 7 years as a Pastry Chef
Must be creative
Must live in or be willing to relocate to Ibadan
Organize and leadership skills
In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
