The Packing Plant Operator oversees the seamless and productive functioning of machinery and processes within the cement packing facility. This position entails verifying that cement is accurately packed, measured, and shipped in alignment with production goals, while upholding stringent safety, quality, and cleanliness protocols.

Oversee and execute core duties and responsibilities integral to the role, including managing day-to-day operations with precision and efficiency. Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and compliance standards to maintain organizational integrity. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to align objectives, streamline processes, and achieve departmental goals. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance productivity, innovation, and performance across assigned responsibilities. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth among team members. Maintain open communication channels to address challenges, provide guidance, and support decision-making at all levels.

Ensure that the packing target of 750 metric tons of cement is consistently met within each twelve-hour shift.

At the commencement of each shift, report to the Shift Manager to obtain detailed instructions and assigned tasks.

Ensure a seamless transition of duties between shifts by conducting thorough handovers and takeovers, maintaining operational continuity throughout.

Operate packing plant machinery, including packers and autoloaders, with efficiency, ideally in automatic (auto) mode.

Consistently monitor the weight of cement bags to uphold the 50 kg specification; promptly notify the Supervisor of any discrepancies.

Ensure rejected or damaged (busted) bags are stacked and labeled correctly in designated areas to prevent contamination or loss.

Ensure the packing area remains staffed at all times; avoid leaving the workstation unattended throughout operations.

Before departing the work area for any reason, ensure you obtain the necessary permission.

Ensure ongoing cleanliness and safety in the workspace by systematically eliminating rejected materials and maintaining meticulous housekeeping standards.

Perform regular equipment inspections and promptly communicate any mechanical or process-related issues to the Shift Supervisor or Maintenance team.

Facilitate a seamless transition of information and responsibilities to the oncoming operator upon completion of the shift.

Ensure full compliance with all established company policies and safety protocols, with particular attention to the ISO Management Systems standards, which encompass Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSA).

Candidates must satisfy the following prerequisites: a minimum of five years’ experience in a relevant field, demonstrated proficiency with industry-standard software, and strong problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential for collaboration within cross-functional teams. Additionally, familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required, and professional certifications (if applicable) should be highlighted in applications.

A relevant technical qualification, such as WAS/GCE/SSC or Trade Test I, II, or III in fields like Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance, is required.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two to nine years of hands-on experience in cement packing, manufacturing processes, or industrial operations.

Proficient in interpreting, composing, and adhering to established standard operating procedures.

Effective interpersonal and collaborative abilities are essential for this role.

Capable of executing both manual labor and technical duties with physical fitness and competence.

Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and a firm commitment to maintaining safety standards.
