The Packing Plant Operator oversees the seamless and effective functioning of machinery and processes within the cement packing facility. This position entails verifying that cement is accurately packed, measured, and shipped in accordance with production goals, all while upholding rigorous safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties and responsibilities, ensuring seamless operational workflow and adherence to established protocols. Manage key initiatives with precision, fostering collaboration across departments to achieve organizational objectives efficiently. Maintain rigorous attention to detail in all tasks, guaranteeing compliance with industry standards and internal policies. Serve as a pivotal point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and resolving issues promptly. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimization and implementing innovative solutions. Ensure timely completion of projects while upholding the highest standards of quality and accountability.

Secure the attainment of the packing target, which is 750 metric tons of cement per twelve-hour shift.

At the commencement of each shift, report directly to the Shift Manager to obtain detailed instructions and assigned tasks.

Execute comprehensive shift handover and takeover procedures to maintain operational continuity seamlessly.

Operate packing plant machinery, including packers, autoloaders, and other automated systems, with proficiency—ideally in automatic (auto) mode.

Regularly verify the weight of cement bags to ensure they meet the required 50 kg standard, promptly escalating any discrepancies to the Supervisor for immediate resolution.

Ensure rejected or damaged bags are systematically organized and clearly labeled in specified areas to mitigate contamination risks or loss.

Ensure the packing area remains staffed at all times; do not leave the workstation unattended while operations are in progress.

Before departing the work area for any reason, ensure proper authorization has been obtained.

Ensure the workplace remains tidy and hazard-free by promptly removing rejected materials and maintaining systematic housekeeping standards.

Perform regular equipment inspections, identifying any mechanical or process-related malfunctions, and promptly notify the Shift Supervisor or Maintenance team of any issues.

Facilitate clear communication and a seamless transition of duties to the incoming operator upon the conclusion of each shift.

Comply with all organizational policies and established safety protocols, which encompass the ISO Management Systems, specifically Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSA).

Sought are candidates possessing a minimum of three years of experience in a relevant field, coupled with proficiency in industry-standard software tools. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required, and prior leadership or project management experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and data analysis methodologies will further strengthen an application. Candidates should exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.

Candidates must hold a WAS/GCE/SSC credential or possess a Trade Test certification at Level I, II, or III in a specialized technical discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.

2–9 years of relevant experience in cement packing, manufacturing, or industrial operations.

Proficient in interpreting, composing, and adhering to established standard operating procedures.

Capable of fostering effective communication and collaborating seamlessly within a team environment.

Capable of executing physical duties and technical responsibilities with a high level of fitness and efficiency.

Possesses a meticulous approach to detail and a heightened commitment to safety protocols.

Eagerness to acquire new skills and adjust to evolving machinery and operational procedures is essential.
