Operations Manager Operations Performance Analyst Budget Controller

Employment Type: Permanent Job Description  The Operations Manager will perform the following tasks:

Coordinate the development and implementation of specifications, system interface and project flows that govern management network related assets.
Evaluate systems and tolls to ensure we have a world-class asset management system in place.
Design development asset management and information systems that allows for the effective tracking and reporting of customer network assets
Ensure timely review and approval of acceptance, testing integration, and cut over documentation related to regional operations.
Ensure a routine program is in place and monitor the performance of these operation and maintenance (O&M) base station routines in the assigned region.
Ensure the performance of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in compliance with Client’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) in the assigned region.
Ensure prompt availability of information on inventory of FSE within the assigned region.
Review and recommend operation and maintenance procedures for regional FSE operations.
Prepare estimate annual budgetary needs (OPEX) for assigned region.
Prepare routine O&M procedures as prescribed for the Power, Transmission, and BTS Radio network.
React to emergency faults and ensure that all faults are rectified promptly within contracted SLA.
Ensure provision of power (requisite quality) to all sites within purview daily.
Implement cross connect equipment in his designated area of our client’s Network.
Compile information on and report the availability on the transmission network in light of the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Swiftly diagnose and clear any fault or alarm assigned by trouble ticket, or ensure escalation within time period stipulated in SLAs to correct parties if unable to fix. To close or forward all trouble tickets promptly.
Maintain a sound working relationship between client’s network operations and all associated parties, within the company and external.
Ensure compliance with our organization Spares Management Procedure.
Ensure maintenance work taken by contractors meets our specification.
Maintain a comprehensive set of records of all transmission links, BTS sites, power equipment and maintenance equipment spares for all client’s sites within designated area.
Ensure all security and network integrity is complete and adhered to.
Liaise with strategic sourcing department to ensure on-schedule supply of diesel to sites within purview.

Requirements

First degree in Engineering
Master’s Degree in related fields is an added advantage

Required Experience / Skills:

No less than 12 years hands-on radio network operation and managed service experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
Experience in Electrical and Mechanical Equipment workings
Planning and organizing skills
MS Office proficiency, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong client management skill and commercial awareness
