Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an operations manager who is also a civil or mechanical engineer to handle the high-level, day to day operations, responsible for all department operations or the company operations, including revenue and controlling costs and guides the general strategy to improve the overall business functions.
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project/contracts to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame.

Responsibilities

Assist in Technical and Commercial Bid submissions and follow up on Company Vendor registrations
Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
Oversee all aspects of supply chain management, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Long-term planning to support the company’s goals
Coordinating different teams to foster an exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities
Assessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to optimize profitability
Inspiring and motivating employees through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives
Communicating with stakeholders about shifting company priorities and projects
Identifying potential problems and points of friction and finding solutions to maximize efficiency and revenue
Identifying opportunities to expand or shift course based on market changes • Lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve high performance and productivity.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
Identify market trends and opportunities for innovation and expansion.

Overseeing resource allocation while maintaining budgetary control

Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
Ensuring business compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Analyzing data and performance metrics to make informed decisions
Developing and implementing growth strategies.
Training low-level managers and staff.
Generating reports and giving presentations
Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
Direct the employee assessment process
Prepare regular reports for upper management
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
Working closely with Account Managers and other senior staff to improve efficiency and performance
Collaborate cross-departmentally to align operations with organizational objectives
Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate contracts for favorable pricing with suppliers and vendors.
Enhance customer service quality and satisfaction.
Optimize workflows and processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Report on operational efficiency and quality standards.
Foster innovation and productivity through effective communication.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Integrate new technologies and business processes as needed.
Maintain service operations to ensure sustainability.
Ensure a strong reporting system as per requirements of senior management and track the same.
Orange and Red flag issues which will impact progress and delivery of project and find mitigations solutions to get project back on track.
To lead regular project review meetings with senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

A good University Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering. Post graduate degree in management, business or related field.
Preferable 7-10 years’ experience in related management position in the oil and gas.
A good working knowledge of managing contracts from inception, kick off, business performance reviews with clients, service entries request, purchase orders issuance and close out of contracts, must have extensive knowledge of general safety, health and environmental standards of oil and gas industry
Must have working knowledge of budget preparation, basic financial related matters, and reporting against financial objectives.
Requires effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills, as well as excellent managerial skills, including planning, organizing, and directing work.
Requires good verbal and written communications skills in English.
