Operations and Maintenance Manager (Telecom Infrastructure)

Job Summary

The O&M Manager will lead a team responsible for maintaining telecom networks, ensuring high service quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with customer SLAs. The role involves managing resources, team performance, and technical operations, including power and fuel management, site refuelling, and network maintenance. 

Key Responsibilities:

 Lead and manage O&M teams, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to SLAs, MTTR, and KPIs. 
Oversee fault management, preventive maintenance, and operational procedures. 
Ensure compliance with site refuelling and fuel risk management processes. 
Drive cost optimization, process improvements, and budget management. 
Maintain strong customer relationships and cross-functional coordination. 
Ensure accurate reporting, data reconciliation, and audit compliance. 
Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards (SHERQ). 

Key Performance Indicators: 

SLA and MTTR compliance 
Zero losses on sites and nil deadweight loss 
Accurate fuel auditing and reporting 
Compliance with safety and environmental regulations 
Effective team leadership and stakeholder management

Qualifications & Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Power, or related field. 
10+ years experience in the telecom industry, with at least 5 years in O&M management. 
Strong knowledge of telecom infrastructure, power systems (generators, solar, batteries), and outage mitigation. 
Experience in fuel and electricity management.
Proven leadership, team management, and process improvement skills. 
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation abilities.
