Job Summary:
The O&M Manager will oversee all operations and maintenance activities within the organization, ensuring the efficient management of facility systems, infrastructure, and client relationships.
The ideal candidate will leverage their engineering expertise, construction background, and business acumen to optimize processes, drive cost efficiency, and deliver outstanding client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day O&M operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
Manage and maintain building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, drive and prioritise client satisfaction.
Ensure all systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are operating efficiently and within compliance standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures. Monitor energy usage and implement strategies for sustainability and cost reduction.
Collaborate with clients to develop customized solutions and address their operational concerns and maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention
Ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines and achieve cost-efficiency in operations.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
Handle emergency situations promptly and efficiently.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding proactively to their needs.
Lead and motivate a team of engineers, supervisors, technicians and support staff,
ensuring consistent performance and development.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement and conduct regular performance evaluations and training programs.
Conduct regular facility inspections and prepare reports for senior management.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules, policies, and procedures.
Prepare and manage budgets for O&M activities, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for savings and revenue generation.
Ensure and drive strong compliance culture with PPE, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies within the facility.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to facility operations.
Contribute to contract/business profitability efforts by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
8–15 years of experience in operations and maintenance, with a strong background in construction and engineering.
Certified COREN engineer with demonstrated project management experience in O&P Management.
Strong knowledge of Health and Safety modalities and ability to drive HSE initiatives.
Proven experience in a leadership role within the facility and project management sector.
Strong business acumen with a track record of driving operational efficiency and profitability.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
Knowledge of relevant regulations, safety standards, and best practices in facility management.
Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office Suite.
