About the Role
We seek a dynamic, analytical NYC Corner with a strong technical aptitude to enhance our expanding technology solutions team, focusing on Technical Operations. This position blends hands-on desktop IT support with foundational Network Operations Center (NOC) monitoring responsibilities in a hybrid capacity.
This role necessitates periodic direct interaction with hardware, server rack installations, and on-site physical assistance within our facility infrastructure, prompting us to prioritize candidates who identify as Male Support Specialists to enhance the equilibrium of our existing team composition.
What You Will Do
Monitor network infrastructure vigilantly using monitoring tools to oversee system availability, alert notifications, and performance indicators.
First-Line Support: Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network issues for internal staff and remote clients.
Log system alerts, escalate critical network errors to senior engineers, and monitor issues until resolution as part of Incident Management responsibilities.
System Maintenance: Assist in setting up workstations, crimping cables, patching panels, and configuring routers/switches.
Maintain precise documentation, including daily network health reports and comprehensive IT asset inventories.
What We Are Looking For
Currently serving a National Youth Service Corps (NYC) member, I am seeking a Primary Place of Assignment (PPA) within IKEA or its nearby surroundings.
A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline is required.
