The New Product Development (NPD) Application Technologist is responsible for developing market-leading products by researching, designing, and evaluating raw materials and packaging solutions. This role ensures seamless product commercialization, maintains compliance with industry standards, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and process optimization.
Effectively manage and optimize departmental resources to meet or surpass all deadlines and business expectations.
Drive innovation by developing new market-leading products.
Conduct research, design, and assess raw materials and packaging solutions.
Identify and source new ingredients to support the product innovation process.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with current standards.
Collaborate closely with the Operations team to successfully achieve project goals.
Perform research on food regulations and process validation to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Assess and enhance the sustainability of product design throughout the production process.
Stay updated on emerging global technologies and industry advancements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of proven experience in new product development and applications within FMCG, Food & Beverage manufacturing industries.
Good understanding of Ingredient functionality, process optimization, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent research, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive product development initiatives.
