Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Night Duty Manager to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. As the Night Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all hotel operations during the night shift, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of service and safety.
Manage all aspects of hotel operations during the night shift, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries
Perform night audit functions, ensuring accurate balancing of hotel revenues in rooms and food & beverage departments
Address guest concerns promptly and efficiently, implementing solutions to enhance guest satisfaction
Ensure the safety and security of guests and staff throughout the night
Supervise and motivate the night shift team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
Handle emergency situations and make critical decisions when necessary
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that arise during the night shift
Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports for the day shift team
Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures to maintain consistency in service delivery
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the night operations
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Night Duty Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
Strong understanding of hotel operations, particularly front office and night audit procedures
Excellent customer service skills with a guest-centric approach
Proficiency in hotel management software, preferably Opera Cloud or similar systems
Solid financial acumen with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data
Outstanding leadership and team management skills
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Experience in crisis management and handling emergency situations
Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
