The organization is implementing the Rapid Access Expansion (RAcE) project on integrated community case management (iCCM) in six Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Niger state, namely Paikoro; Rafi; Mariga; Rijau; Lapai; and Edati LGAs. The goal of this project is to catalyse the scale-up of integrated community case management (iCCM) building on community case management of malaria (CCMm) with a view to improving access and quality of care for the management of malaria, diarrhoea and pneumonia among children under the age of five (5).The project now seeks to engage a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to oversee data management and analysis;ResponsibilitesThe Monitoring and Evaluation officer will serve as the main focal person for all monitoring and evaluation related activities for the RAcE Project. S/he will report to the Project Manager in addition to coordinating and providing technical support to the implementation of all monitoring and evaluation activities within the project.During the intervention, community level public health services are to be provided through a network of community oriented resource persons (CORPs). Throughout the project implementation phase, different routine data will be generated. This includes data on routine CORP service utilization, supervision, stock monitoring, and demand creation related data.Other key responsibilities will include:
» To assist the Project Manager and all those involved in project, particularly primary stakeholders in entering data from CORP service utilization register and CORP status update form to capture changes to the CORP’s status as it relates the project;» Create a data bank on the programme processes which including updates on progress of the Country Programme activities, as well as operational issues as they arise;» Prepare periodic reports on progress of implementation of all project activities as well as document key findings and lessons learnt for on various interventions by the project ;QualificationInterested candidates must have a minimum of a degree in Social or physical sciences. S/he must have at least three years’ experience in participatory assessment as well as data processing and analysis. The ideal candidate must have good contextual knowledge of local issues, community priorities and socio-cultural constraints. Previous experience facilitating trainings and in designing relevant tools for data capture is essential. Excellent communication skills in addition to proficiency in the use of Microsoft office packages and other database management tools is required.Terms and Conditions of EmploymentThe appointment term will be for a renewable period of up to 24 months, with an initial 6 months probationary period.
