SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Aseptic sampling of water, materials, intermediates, finished products, cleaning-in-place machine samples for microbial analysis.
Microbial analysis of water, materials, intermediates, and finished products.
Inspection of cleaned production equipment and environment during product change-over, sampling, and analysis of product surface contacts of the equipment.
Calibration of measuring equipment/ devices.
Validation of critical microbiology equipment and culture media.
Microbial assay (potency) of beta-lactam actives (raw materials) and products.
Preparation and sterilization of culture media, glass wares, and reagents for microbial analysis.
Inventory records of the culture media and other microbiology items in the laboratory.
Microbiological monitoring of bore-hole water, pre-treatment (potable water), and treated / purified water for pharmaceutical use.
Microbiological monitoring of critical manufacturing environment, reporting of Pre- and Post-fumigation exercise, and proffering CAPA in case of OOS.
Qualifications
Minimum of B.Sc. in Microbiology.
1 to 3 years of relevant experience as a microbiologist
