Mental Health and Psychosocial Services Coordinator (M/F)

Location: Maiduguri, Borno, with field visits in Damboa Employee: Fixed Term Contract: 9 months Starting Date: ASAP Description

Under the supervision of the medical coordinator, you are responsible for technical program support in activities preparation and implementation in order to ensure the quality of mental health and psychosocial services (MHPSS) in the fields.

More specifically, your responsibilities are to:

Manage daily program (planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting)
Conduct routine project needs assessments and program reviews
Implement sustainability strategy, ensuring community engagement, mobilization and capacity development
Supervise the mental health supervisors in the field
Provide direct technical support and capacity building to national staff, in training development and in program implementation
Participate in the recruitment processes
Provide technical support in developing and reviewing MHPSS training packages
Ensure that all staff receives appropriate and adequate MHPSS orientation
Develop a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework
Contribute to develop and implement integrated referrals mechanism
Take a lead in MHPSS program development and new proposal writing
Establish systematic data collection for reports
Participate to the coordination meeting and represent MdM to in relevant external meetings
Provide support to remote projects with multiple visits to the projects

Conditions

2700 gross monthly salary on 13 months
Expatriation bonus (10% gross salary per month)

Profile

Clinical Psychologist Diploma
Previous similar experience in conflict and post conflict context
Knowledge of public health issues
Languages: English fluent 
Capacity to create relationships with the communities, government authorities, INGO and UN agencies
Ability to create tools and monitoring process
Patience and stress management
Ability to work with minimum support and capacity to take initiatives to changing requirements
