Job Description
We are seeking a Measurement Engineer to join our team. This position reports to the NMA Base Business Manager and will support the base business optimization process/shaping plan in the measurement space for the JV, EGTL, and DW Operations. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams on opportunities related to measurement, proactively and systematically support facilities’ optimization opportunities to reduce OPEX, increase production, use surplus capacity, and ensure statutory compliance projects are successfully completed on schedule with Nigerian regulatory agencies overseeing crude oil and gas production operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
Support strategic planning efforts for Escravos JV, EGTL, and Agbami annual LACT Units recertification exercise, including calibrations, upgrades, and recertification of all Metering projects.
Provide strategic interfaces with O&M, Projects, Strategic Procurements and Contracting (SP&C), and in-house Regulatory Affairs stakeholders on all metering projects and related activities.
Support the provision of technical, facilitation, organizational, and planning to manage work activities associated with the maintenance and upgrade of various measurement systems.
Identify and leverage technical resources from outside the NMA BU.
Provide weekly updates on measurement activities to the Base Business Manager and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
Demonstrated knowledge of NMA field production operations, local regulatory procedure guidelines, and applicable international standards.
Experience in production operation processes, instrumentation, control systems, and custody transfer operations.
Strong understanding of Chevron Way behaviors and We Lead behaviors – Align & Inspire, Grow Capabilities, Build Relationships, and Deliver Results.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage stakeholder relationships.
Strong safety track record and understanding of Operational Excellence Management System.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Knowledge of oil and gas processing facilities.
Experience in data analysis and strategic planning.
Ability to manage third-party contractors during project execution.
Strong conflict management skills.
Experience interfacing with government agencies in the oil and gas sector.
