Job Purpose
The Master Trainer will be responsible for organising and conducting teacher training on the 21st Century Skills programmes.
The incumbent will directly provide training for teachers who will be facilitating ‘Skills 21’ throughout secondary school level.
The Master Trainer will be part of a new team who will be rolling out the new Skills 21 Programme’s training and assessment elements in schools, and later universities.

Part of the Master Trainer role also involves monitoring and evaluating the teacher facilitation and student responses to the Skills 21 programme as new schools take it on.
The Master Trainer will also train colleagues internally on the Skills 21 Programme, as well as sometimes provide demo presentations illustrating the pedagogy and benefits of the programme to potential schools and parents.
The Master Trainer will be responsible for the running of assessment day centres at schools, and writing and delivering individual reports for students. Relevant, assessment and product specific training would be provided to the chosen candidate. Travel to our key regions will be required.
The Master Trainer role will also entail some project management elements, relating to the roll-out, implementation and coordination of Skills21 projects across various schools, regions, countries etc.
The Master Trainer will be responsible for generating relevant report and presenting analysis to the school management. Data management will form an important part of the role.
The Master Trainer will also be required to conduct Business Development for his region in which he would have to meet relevant stakeholders at potential schools and make sales presentations. He will carry Sales targets as part of his KRAs.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, delivery and continuous improvement of the Skills 21 and internal training programs
Liaise extremely closely with schools and educational institutes adopting Skills 21 to organise, coordinate and implement a training plan, including conducting teacher training and assessment centre days for students
Do business development with schools management team and carry sales targets. Making sales presentations to the faculty members and Parents will fall under this responsibility
Design and implement a mentoring and feedback plan for teachers who will participate in the Skills 21 project
Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment for teachers
Deliver, project and motivate trainees through effective training methodologies both in group and individual classroom dynamics
Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness and impact of training programs
Facilitate training activities such as case studies, training games and simulations, and use role-play for skills development, also providing constructive feedback
Monitor and measure effectiveness of the training program – actively generate and gather feedback
Participate in review and interpretation of data analysis for project learning and improvement and communicates customer feedback back to the Product Development Team
Participate in records maintenance activities Provide accurate reports on activities and interactions
Work closely and coordinate activities with other project staff and schools
Create high quality deliverables within project budget and policy deadlines
Team-player able to perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Requirements Qualifications / Experience:
Degree in child psychology or educational psychology.
10+ years relevant teaching / training / train the trainer experience preferably in the education sector
Experience as a coach and/or mentor will be preferred
ASTD accreditation will be an advantage, as will any other coaching or mentoring certificates.
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver outstanding training programs utilizing skills in instructional design, program design & development, and training methodologies
Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills required
Proven training experience and proficient in training methodologies, curriculum development and soft skills (communication skills, critical thinking, time management, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide teachers
Experience in developing comprehensive training and mentoring plans
Ability to perform challenging and complex work
High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training style
Strong professional acumen and judgement
Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Tech-savvy and highly computer literate with experience using MS Office and web-based systems, visual aids technology
High levels of developed soft skills (good communication, critical thinking etc.) and an active interest in education and soft skills
Excellent creative and conceptual thinking abilities
Proficiency in English required
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Able and willing to travel to various regions
Presentation experience with faculty members, parents and students.
