About the job

The Marketing and Communications Officer will spearhead marketing strategies and activities to promote Ship Afrika International’s brand, services, and goals.
These include managing all print and digital marketing efforts, creating content for online platforms, developing advertising campaigns, and engaging with customers to enhance the company’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement marketing strategies, including print, online, and event marketing.
Manage the company’s social media accounts, website updates, and email marketing campaigns.
Create marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and promotional content.
Analyze market trends and competitors to inform marketing decisions.
Collaborate with external vendors for design, printing, and advertising needs.
Organize and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and media contacts.
Any other responsibility as may be assigned by the General Manager

Job Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least two (2) years of experience in marketing, preferably in logistics or related industries.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g. social media, SEO)
Fast learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus and adapt to a variety of challenges.
Working knowledge of PC or Mac computer systems.
Excellent written/verbal communication and time management skills.
Great interpersonal and team-work skills.
Creativity and attention to detail.
