Manager Support Services

Responsibilities:Reporting to : Managing Director

The Manager (Support Services) will be responsible for providing process and administrative support to ensure the smooth operations of business processes, farm operations and the entire organisation
Oversee and manage all key organizational processes relating to:
Acquisition, utilisation and management of the company’s assets and resources.
Receipt, storage and issuance of goods required for the use of company business.
Movement and distribution of products and services
Safety, wellness and security of company resources and assets.
Company wide information dissemination and management
  Design, implement and continually improve the company’s documented systems, policies and tools guiding the   operation of the above mentioned organizational processes, which will include but not be limited to:
Human Resource Policy.
Asset Movement and Disposal Policy.
Procurement Policy.
Inventory Management Policy.
  Conduct regular utilisation analysis of key input items, materials and services and design/implement initiatives to optimize utilisation as and when required.
Maintain and constantly update the company’s database of registered and verified service providers.
Act as the company’s main contact point with external parties and government agencies and regulators.
Implement and monitor measures to ensure the company premises and office environment is safe, clean and supportive of the desired levels of effectiveness and performance.
  Build and strengthen the capacity of the company’s support services team by:
Continually assessing the capability of the team to deliver on agreed outcomes.
Providing leadership that inspires others to succeed and develop, and proactively share experience, knowledge and ideas.

Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree.
Master’s  degree (MBA) will be an added advantage.
  Minimum of 5-7 year experience as a Support Service Manager ideally within a similar industry.

 Key Performance Indicators

Production disruption due to stock out of key input items.
Inventory Shrinkage/losses.
Staff turnover.
Security Breaches.
Regulatory sanctions.

Actual versus budgets:

Financial Indicators (all relative to agreed indices/ratios and or budgets)
Facility repairs and maintenance costs
Facility repairs and maintenance costs as a % of OPEX

Skills

Good understanding and knowledge of standards/management theories including but not limited to Business Process Re-engineering & Management, ISO 9001, TQM and Six Sigma.
People Management Skills.
Cost Management Skills.
Fundamentals of Accounting/Fixed Asset Management.
Problem Solving & Analysis.
Performance Management.
