Develop project schedules in conjunction with the Departmental H.O.D and Projects Manager; plan, direct and assign duties for rope access project personnel; schedule and meet project schedules.
Train rope access employees on operational functions; conduct safety orientations and meetings; assures that established policies and procedures are followed.
Recruit, hire and train operations employees on operational functions; conduct safety orientations and meetings; assures that established policies and procedures are followed.
Supervises the inspection of all Rope Access equipment and gears; assures that equipment and materials are properly maintained for efficient operations; reports any process or equipment problems to the Departmental H.O.D
Oversees the updating and maintenance of inventory control database. Tracks and monitors all rope access gears and related equipments and devices.
Ensures all rope access gears and relative equipments and devices are calibrated as at when due.
Liaising with IRATA on certification and other related matters.
Assist with developing project schedules in conjunction with the Operations Manager; tabulate project schedules.
Scheduling of meetings as it relates to the department.
Oversees the updating of departmental policies and procedures as required.
Carry out and generate information research as maybe required.
Oversee and supervise all functions with relations to rope access systems i.e. receiving of components, inventory control and interim quality checks; assures compliance with all regulations and good code of practice of IRATA.
Completion of assigned work projects; Conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation, IRATA Certification Scheme; Demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of levels 1, 2 and 3; and has a comprehensive knowledge of advances rescue techniques.
Troubleshoots any rope access project problems; assures that equipment and materials are properly maintained for efficient operations; reports any process or equipment problems to the H.O.D Operations or Operations Manager.
Communication and liaison with IRATA, including completion of quarterly returns, IRATA certification and other related matters.
Keeping rope access procedures up to date and compliant with current IRATA requirements on an ongoing and at least annual basis.
Acts as designated technical authority for all rope access systems related operations.
Performs other duties as required.

Years of Experience:

2-5 years

Skills Required:

Relevant valid certifications (IRATA, NDT etc)
Certified IRATA Level 3 technician with over 10years and above of related experience
At least ASNT Level 2 Certification in LT, UT, MPI etc is desirable.
Must be fully competent, conversant and have a strong working knowledge of rope access systems and inspections troubleshooting

Educational Qualification

A university degree with a major in Science or Engineering preferred/ desirable or relevant journeyman experience
