Manager – Investment Management and Banking Advisor – Learning and Talent Management

Reports To: Senior Manager – Chief Treasurer

Division: MoMo Payment Service Bank (MoMo PSB)

Mission:

Responsible for leading strategic initiatives to optimize financial resources, drive profitability and deliver tailored investment solutions for MoMo PSB.

Description:

Developing retail and Treasury Banking products to generate low-cost funds and drive liability generation 
Manage the float and trust account of the Bank to ensure liquidity and profitability
Develop strategy and policy for investing cash as appropriate, in line with regulatory guidelines and MoMo PSB investment policies. 
Working with the Treasurer to manage the cashflow of the Bank
Recommend and   purchase short-, medium- or long-term money market instruments in accordance with MoMo PSB investment policy.
Purchases short term money market instruments in accordance with MoMo PSB Investment Policy for surplus funds.
Keeps abreast of developments in the Nigerian money market to ensure that selected investment instruments safeguard the assets of the Bank.
Prepares the investment and liquidity report to provide management timely and accurate report of MoMo PSB’s investments, liquidity, exposure and cash-flow forecast;
Certifies, and issues in a timely manner, the monthly Analysis of Investment Income, comparing actual versus projections and explaining variances, ensuring projections align with actual performance, complete with an analysis of where the cash is invested, the rate of return earned as compared to benchmarks (i.e., 90-day treasury), and the weighted average return on the portfolio.
Prepares annual investment reporting for the Treasurer 
Draft policies and procedures related to investment policies.
Establish and maintain good relationships with bank team to facilitate smooth operations. 
Ensure compliance to CBN requirements and other regulatory authorities.

Education:

First degree in Accounting, Economics or any other Finance related discipline
Relevant postgraduate education as an advantage
ACI certified
A professional accounting degree (ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA) as an advantage

Experience:

6 – 13 years’ experience which includes:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialisation; with experience in supervising/managing others
Experience working in a medium to large organization 
Experience in international trade finance, corporate finance and treasury, foreign exchange activities and cash management.
Familiarity with capital markets and financial investment securities 
Experience with equity, hybrid or debt investments either at a corporation, investment bank, or accounting, law, tax, or investor relations firm
