Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all mechanical and electrical equipment, including generators, pumps, compressors, trucks, and other plant facilities across multiple locations nationwide. This position requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and an ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring minimal downtime, cost efficiency, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
The role includes oversight of preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting issues, coordinating repairs, supervising installations, and aligning the department’s activities with the organization’s operational objectives. The Maintenance Manager will also lead the development and implementation of procurement and maintenance tracking systems, ensuring the efficient utilization of resources.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy: Lead and mentor the maintenance team, driving a high-performance culture to achieve organizational goals while reducing equipment downtime and optimizing maintenance costs.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to ensure operational efficiency and extend equipment life.
Technical Oversight: Conduct installation, troubleshooting, and repairs of mechanical and electrical equipment, including diesel and gas generators, compressors, pumps, and piping systems.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations; actively promote safety culture through Visible Felt Leadership (VFL).
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain a robust network of spare parts vendors and workshops to ensure timely availability of quality resources.
Data & Reporting: Track maintenance performance, downtime, and costs; provide regular updates and reports to senior management on technical performance and budget adherence.
Failure Analysis: Conduct root cause analyses (RCAs) for equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Process Optimization: Improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), job plans, and inspection protocols for equipment, enhancing operational efficiency.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design new systems, optimize existing technology, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Cost Management: Monitor and control the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.

Qualifications & Experience
Education: Minimum of a B.Sc./B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience: 8–15 years of progressive maintenance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role, preferably in the midstream or downstream oil & gas industry.
Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance of diesel and gas generators, compressors, pumps, hydraulic systems, and heavy-duty trucks.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Advanced troubleshooting and technical diagnostic abilities.
Proficient in cost management, project management, and budget preparation.
Knowledge of HSE standards within the oil & gas industry.
Familiarity with Natural Gas and LPG plant equipment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in preparing technical reports.
Adept at using maintenance management software and basic computer applications.
Analytical mindset with experience in root cause analysis (RCA).
