Logistics Officer

Job Responsibilities

Oversee assigned fleet’s operations and make reports on fleet performance and other operational activities.
Obtain and maintain truck licensing, registration, permits and other related documents.
·Direct activities such as dispatching, routing and tracking vehicles.
Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational policy.
Oversee proper use of fuel rations; maintain log and account for fuel and oil storage tanks
Work closely with the Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee and schedule fleet maintenance and repairs

Requirements

First degree in Transportation or any related discipline.
3 – 5 years related work experience. Haulage/Transportation experience is an added advantage.
Ability to make accurate decisions quickly.
Ability to manage drivers.
Good planning and proper time management.
