Logistics and IT Assistant

Position Summary:
The Logistics and IT Assistant is responsible for supporting program activities at all the Borno state offices. Logistically, S/He will provide support to a broad range of clerical duties such as collection of monthly timesheets for grant-funded labor, filing and transmission to head office, administrative documentation of handover receipts, collection of signatures from grantees and assisting in the compilation of administrative paperwork at the state level. For IT operations in consultation with the IT Officer, S/He will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of all IT-related hardware and software, support network administration and troubleshoot all IT-related issues on the ground.  This position is based in Maiduguri with travel to two satellite offices at Gubio and Chibok.
Reporting & Supervision:
The Logistics and IT Assistant reports to the Office Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Provide clerical and administrative support to a portfolio of field-based activities.
Collect monthly timesheets for grant-funded labor at the state level
Collect, copy and transmit to the Abuja office administrative documentation such as handover receipts and other grants documentation
Collect required signatures for handover documents from grantees and project participants
Coordinate supply and delivery of field based shipments, ensuring that a proper supply exists at the grant site for activities to continue and coordinate with Abuja offices ahead of supply exhaustion so items can be replenished.
Assist with ordering supplies and inventory management, as needed.
Provide technical setup with respect to all IT related issues, including installation and testing of workstations, printers, client software, upgrades, and configuration
Perform daily checks on all ICT equipment to ensure they are in acceptable working order.
Supervise and follow-up on equipment, installation and service maintenance performed by contractors and service providers
Support users of IT hardware and software in the Borno office on their daily work
Ensure all IT equipment and consumables received in the office are genuine and meet agreed standard
Enforce security on the network and prevent misuse of the IT resources
Maintaining IT inventory
Administration of biometric access control and attendance management system
Coordinate with Abuja IT support staff to identify and troubleshoot problems
Perform other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field
Minimum one year of relevant work experience
Experience working within international organizations and conflict environment will be an added advantage
Fluency in English and in one or more of the local state languages in the North Eastern part of Nigeria
