Loan Collection Officer Recovery Officer

Responsibilities

Contact customers with overdue loan payments via calls, emails, and messages to ensure timely repayment.
Identify high-risk accounts and escalate severe cases for further legal action or debt recovery measures.
Maintain professional and respectful communication while handling overdue payments.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to loan repayments and deductions.
Track and document all collection efforts, interactions, and agreements with customers.
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on loan recovery performance.
Ensure collections activities align with Sycamore’s policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Work with the Risk and Legal teams to handle complex default cases requiring external intervention.
Assist in fraud detection and prevention by identifying suspicious repayment patterns.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in loan collections, credit recovery, or a similar role in a financial institution or lending company.
Experience in a fintech or digital lending environment is an added advantage.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
High emotional intelligence and ability to handle difficult conversations.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess repayment risks and recommend solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collections management software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
