Librarian

Responsibilities

Library Management: Organize, maintain, and catalog library resources, including books, digital media, and other materials.
Resource Acquisition: Select and procure new library materials to meet curriculum and student interests.
User Assistance: Assist students and staff in locating and using library resources effectively.
Literacy Promotion: Develop and lead programs to encourage reading and information literacy among students.
Technology Integration: Manage digital tools and resources, including online databases, e-books, and library software.
Research Support: Guide students in conducting research and using credible sources for assignments.
Policy Enforcement: Implement and monitor library rules, ensuring a quiet and conducive study environment.
Collaboration: Work with teachers to align library resources with curriculum needs.
Event Coordination: Organize book fairs, reading challenges, and author visits to promote library engagement.
Training and Mentorship: Train students and staff on effective library use and information retrieval techniques.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory, loans, and overdue materials.
Maintenance and Upkeep: Ensure the library is clean, organized, and inviting for users.
