Learning, Development & Operations Manager (DevOps)

Role Summary

The Learning, Development & Operations Manager will play a critical role in strengthening WBFA’s internal capacity, ensuring operational efficiency, and promoting continuous learning within the organization. This role will support the development of organizational knowledge, streamline operational processes, and enhance staff development to improve programme delivery and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Organizational Learning & Capacity Building

Develop and implement a learning and development strategy for WBFA staff, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
Curate and maintain a centralized repository of key organizational resources, including policies, reports, training materials, and best practices.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging knowledge exchange among teams.

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement

Develop and refine internal processes and operational frameworks to enhance WBFA’s efficiency.
Oversee organizational systems and tools, ensuring they are fit for purpose and support day-to-day operations.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between programme, finance, and partnership teams to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.
Identify and address operational bottlenecks, proposing innovative solutions to improve workflow.

Knowledge Management & Organizational Growth

Establish systems for documenting and institutionalizing organizational knowledge to ensure continuity and learning from past experiences.
Support the development of programme reports, case studies, and impact assessments to capture key insights.
Track and analyze lessons learned from projects, ensuring insights are integrated into future programming and strategic decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Internal Communication

Act as a bridge between departments to ensure clear communication and collaboration across WBFA.
Support the onboarding and induction of new staff and partners, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge about WBFA’s mission and operations.
Engage with external partners and stakeholders, where necessary, to support knowledge-sharing and operational alignment.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Development, Public Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in operations, organizational development, or learning and development within an NGO, government, or international organization.
Strong project management skills, with experience in process improvement and efficiency optimization.
Knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) principles.
Experience developing and implementing training programme and organizational learning strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships across teams.
Familiarity with WBFA’s key programme areas (maternal and neonatal health, WASH, policy advocacy) is an asset.
