Learning, Development and Resources Administrator

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning, Development and Resource Administrator to join our team. 
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the learning and development, training, Human Resources training development for the firm. 
The incumbent will also be responsible for the management of the firm’s library and assisting with HR and administrative duties

Responsibilities

Identify training and development needs within the organization through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and the human resources department.
Design, expand and manage training and development programmes based on the needs of the organization and the individual.
Ensure implementation of training in line with the Firm’s training calendar
Administrator of the Knowledge Series of the firm.
Subscription and Vendor Management
Liaise with internal resource persons to produce training materials for in-house courses.
Plan and assess the ‘return on investment’ of any training or development programme, considering the costs of planned programmes and keeping them within budgets.
Develop effective induction programmes for new staff, NYSC Associates, externs & interns
Work with the relevant committee to amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment and industry developments.
Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.
Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
Provide customer service for library users.
Provide suggestions to library users about new books to try.
Help library users check out books.
Maintain peace and tranquility in the library.
Avoid loitering of unauthorized user in the library.
Ensure you retrieve library materials / books from all users’ desks.
Keep a budget to repair, replace or get new reading materials.
Oversee library aids and maintain a conducive library environment.
Create an online database for easy access to members and staff.
Catalog new inventory and update the database accordingly.
Research new reading trends and popular genres to add to the library.
Order new inventory from book supply companies.
Maintain proper labelling of Library inventories and books.
Perform other duties as required by Head, Human Resources

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Library Management and Personnel Management (IRPM), Mass Communication, Psychology, or any related field.
Additional professional certification in personnel management is an added advantage.
Experience- 1-2 years
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
