Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Instructor to lead our UI/UX Design course. This instructor-led program will provide students with advanced UI/UX skills, focusing on user-centered design, usability, and digital product design. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in UI/UX design, with proven teaching experience and a commitment to nurturing creative and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Instruction:
Design and deliver an engaging, instructor-led curriculum that includes topics such as user research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and responsive design. Develop lesson plans, hands-on activities, and assessments that ensure students gain practical experience and can apply design principles effectively.
Mentorship and Guidance:
Mentor students on design projects, providing insights and constructive feedback to help them build user-centric, visually compelling products. Create an inclusive learning environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Portfolio-Building and Industry-Relevant Projects:
Integrate real-world projects that align with industry standards, allowing students to apply skills in practical scenarios and develop a professional portfolio. Supervise and provide feedback on project work, helping students refine their problem-solving and design skills.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with trends in UI/UX design, tools, and methods, ensuring the curriculum reflects industry practices and advancements. Collect and analyze feedback from students to continuously improve course content, teaching approaches, and available resources.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and problem-solving skills.
Proven teaching or mentorship experience with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and InVision.
Knowledge of design systems, accessibility standards, and best practices in user-centered design.
Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in UI/UX design or relevant fields.
Experience with front-end development basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to guide students on bridging design with development.
Background in instructional design or curriculum development.
