Job Purpose

The Business Development Executive is instrumental in advancing the company’s strategic growth objectives by performing comprehensive market research, examining industry trends, and assessing business opportunities within the oil and gas sector. This position includes identifying prospective clients, analyzing competitive landscapes, and developing thorough financial and strategic business proposals to inform critical decision-making processes.

Job Description

Conducts comprehensive market research, systematically evaluating market forces, competitive tactics, and client demands to uncover expansion prospects, emerging industry patterns, and prospective commercial initiatives in the oil and gas industry.

Prepares thorough business cases for new initiatives, encompassing financial forecasts, feasibility evaluations, and risk analyses.

Assess commercial frameworks, pricing methodologies, and revenue projections to inform key decisions, aid in developing strategic business plans, and maintain alignment with the organization’s long-term objectives.

Works collaboratively across sales, finance, operations, and technical departments to craft and execute strategies that drive business expansion, assisting in contract negotiations, tracking progress on submitted bids and proposals, and drafting new project proposals.

Tracks and monitors competitor actions, industry developments, and shifting regulatory landscapes within the oil and gas sector to pinpoint gaps and potential opportunities. By analyzing these factors, the role evaluates strategic options to enhance competitive positioning and drive informed decision-making.

Compiles and delivers business development reports to senior management, highlighting critical insights, project progress, and potential risks.

Develops and nurtures key relationships with clients, industry partners, regulatory entities, and investors to foster business expansion, while addressing client inquiries, steering negotiations, and preparing business proposals to secure successful deal closures.

Maintains a current database encompassing market intelligence, client interactions, and project evaluations, delivering data-driven insights and forecasts to aid leadership in informed decision-making.

Attends both internal and external meetings to deliver market insights, provide project updates, and offer strategic recommendations.

Job Specification

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.

With a proven track record spanning three to five years, you will bring substantial expertise in business development, specifically within the oil and gas or industrial sector.
