Job Summary
The Labor Supervisor will oversee the utilization and allocation of casual employees within the organization including managing the workforce effectively, ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), maintaining excellent record-keeping, and housekeeping standards, and contributing to a productive work environment.

The key result areas of this role are:
Ensure optimal utilization of casual employees, matching skills with tasks, and maximizing productivity.
Effectively & directly supervises labor to achieve the daily target.
Compliance with safety protocols, Housekeeping, and Hygiene practices.
Streamline and record, report, and keep attendance and work records for casuals.
Responsibilities
Reports and Records: Prepare routine reports and maintain attendance and work records for casual employees. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting to track labor performance.
Direct Supervision: Supervise labor directly and efficiently to achieve daily tasks, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to established standards.
Workforce Allocation: Effectively allocate casual employees to various tasks and departments, ensuring proper utilization of skills and resources to meet operational needs.
Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise among casual employees, promoting a positive and respectful work atmosphere.
Planning & Scheduling: Plan tasks effectively to meet operational requirements. Create and manage work schedules for casual employees, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and tasks.
Goal Setting and Planning: Set performance goals for casual labor and establish deadlines for job completion in alignment with company demands.
Organization and Delegation: Organize labor effectively, delegate tasks clearly, and ensure that casual employees understand their duties and responsibilities.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of casual employees, providing feedback, guidance, and support as needed to enhance their productivity and efficiency.
Productivity and Discipline: Monitor labor productivity, prevent truancy, and maintain discipline and decorum among casual employees. Address performance issues promptly and enforce company policies.
Safety, Housekeeping, and hygiene: Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, housekeeping standards, and hygiene practices. Uphold a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
Training and Orientation: Conduct orientations for new casual employees, providing them with necessary information on company policies, safety protocols, and GMP standards.
The Person
B.Sc./HND, ND, or equivalent in Human Resources or related field is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce management, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with casual employees, resolve conflicts, and provide clear instructions.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols related to casual labor management.
Leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse workforce effectively.
Proficiency in using scheduling tools for managing work shifts and employee assignments.
Proficiency in the use of computer Microsoft applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
