Junior Network Administrator – Business Technology Solutions (Internal Firm Services)

Resolving help desk issues/tickets viz-a-viz troubleshooting issues with printers, email, notebook hardware, applications and user network connectivity
Ensure availability for internal networks devices [ router, switches etc ]
Ensure availability for local area network connection
Escalate network availability issues to superiors
Carry out monitoring and log of network resource utilisation
Communication with clients to provide regular updates with respect to changes, outages, incident progress report
Escalate service issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels
Support device configuration backup and other assigned tasks.

Educational Qualification

First degree or HND in Computer Science and computer related disciplines (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical /Electronic Engineering, Computer with Mathematics)
A Microsoft/Cisco certification will be a plus

Requirements

Fresh graduate (no experience) to 1 year experience
Some knowledge of network hardware (routers, switches, servers etc)
Knowledge of operating systems platforms such as Windows 2008 /Win7

Generic Skills

Good written and oral communication ability
Action planning, Motivating, Analytical mind and strong problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work independently in a highly dynamic environment and work under intense pressure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to train PwC users on use of computer software and hardware in both office and classroom situations
