Responsibilities:
Performing basic accounting tasks such as bookkeeping and recording financial transactions
Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and company policies
Providing support for audits and tax filings
Assisting with payroll processing
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Update accounts receivable, issue invoices, update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports and assist the manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
Assist with other accounting projects as given by the manager.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns, balance sheets, and other pivotal financial documents.
Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
Collaborate harmoniously with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and additional financial tasks.
Requirements:
Degree. in accounting/finance or related field
Minimum of 1 – 2 years work experience as an accountant
Spreadsheet proficiency, Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills (Excel) is important
