IT Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy IT Support Officer to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for a motivated individual with 1-2 years of experience in IT support.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.
Provide basic technical support to employees, both in-person and remotely, to resolve IT-related issues.
Monitor and respond to IT service requests in a timely manner.
Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities in hardware, physical, software, and logical environments to enhance overall system security.
Support data backup processes and Active Directory functions to ensure data integrity, recovery, security, and seamless user authentication.
Maintain records of IT assets, software licenses, and manage IT consumables.
Assist in the deployment and management of Microsoft Office 365 and other applications (e.g., Odoo ERP, NMS).
Conduct basic training for employees on IT systems and best practices.
Assist in network troubleshooting, conference room setup and basic system administration tasks.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience as an IT support Engineer/Officer.
Good knowledge of computer systems, software, and network troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with network protocols, security practices, and cloud platforms is an advantage.
