Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Specialist to join our team in Benin City, Nigeria. As an IT Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our organization’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.
Manage and maintain computer systems, networks, and other IT infrastructure
Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-users
Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against cyber threats
Configure and administer various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
Assist in the deployment and management of cloud-based services and applications
Develop and maintain IT documentation, including processes, procedures, and system configurations
Monitor system performance and implement upgrades as necessary
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role
Strong proficiency in various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
Solid understanding of network administration, security, and troubleshooting
Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell and Python
Familiarity with IT service management and project management methodologies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, CCNA) are preferred
