Overview
Reporting directly to the CFO with doted line to the Group Head of IT, the IT Manager will be primarily responsible for the IT network and systems; manage a team and provide a strategic overview to meet future business and system requirements.
Main Responsibilities
Manage the development, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all current IT network and systems, including but not limited to:
Datacentre and SQL server database.
High-End data storage and server system.
LAN/WAN/VSAT/firewall and internet network.
Active directory domain and document management system.
Desktop/network support, CCTV network.
IT assets and website.
Manage and execute the implementation of projects within the IT network and systems
Communicate regularly with executive management and all users
Manage and develop IT staff which includes training, evaluation, guidance and discipline
Ensure department compliance to established IT policies, best practices, standards operating systems, processes and procedures along with protocols and guidance
Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, back-up procedures and control structures
Keep up-to-date with new technology
Manage the financial aspects of the IT department which includes purchasing, budgeting and reviews, with cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
Negotiate and administer IT supplier contracts and Service Agreements
Desired Skills and Experience
A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent (BE/B.Tech/BSc. in Computer Science/Information Technology)
Relevant certifications e.g. MCSE, ITIL preferably
Minimum of 5 years work experience as an IT Manager in an ERP environment with large manufacturing company in multiple locations and overall 10-12 years of experience in IT
Progressive IT experience in a multi-office environment
Strong Leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong project and time management
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills
Advance knowledge and management of:
Microsoft server/desktop OS and applications.
Hardware device functionality and application software troubleshooting
Datacentre and SQL server database
High-End data storage and server system.
LAN/WAN/VSAT/firewall and internet network.
Active directory domain and document management system.
Desktop/printer/laptop/network support and CCTV network.
IT assets and website.
