Inventory/Store Officer

Responsibilities

Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
Examine the levels of supplies and raw material to determine shortages.
Ensure production material is adequate and can cover for all projects at hand
Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory.
Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems.
Liaise with the procurement manager to order new supplies to avoid inefficiencies or excessive surplus.
Report to and work hand in hand with the procurement manager to analyze different suppliers to obtain the best cost-effective deals.
Collaborate with the procurement manager, warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
Report to the management team on stock levels, surplus, insufficiencies, discrepancies and/or any other issues

Requirements and skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant field.
Relevant qualifications will be a plus
Proven experience as inventory/store officer with minimum of 3 years in similar role.
Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques.
Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
An analytical mind with strong math skills and strong attention to details.
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Outstanding communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Reliable and trustworthy with high level of integrity
