Department: Information Technology Location: Abuja, NigeriaReporting to: HiringManager:Permanent orTemporaryPermanent Interviewers(Names):Brief Job Profile and Candidate SpecificationJob Purpose:An Infrastructure and Technical Support officer will be responsible for efficient provisioning, operation, installation/configuration and proper maintenance of systems hardware, software and other related infrastructure in the twareas below.Providing support tinternal teams within the company: The job is that of a System Administrator whprovides operational support, maintenance and provisioning for systems hardware, software and other infrastructure.Providing Support tUsers: The Officer provides support services tclients in terms of troubleshooting problems, identifying and correcting technical issues, providing advice on infrastructure relatedupgrades and improvements.The Job Role and ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities for an Infrastructure & Technical Support Officer would be:Provisioning;
Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories,
storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements of the
company/client
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and system standards
Operations and Support;
Daily system monitoring, verifying and reviewing all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes etc.
Regular security monitoring tidentify possible disturbance, performing daily backup operations.
Investigating and troubleshoot all issues related tIT infrastructure for internal teams or clients using
telephone/emails etc.
User support and system support in accordance tthe IT support policy and alsguidance of process and policy.
Maintenance;
Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures. Performing regular updates and upgrades as and when necessary
Financial/Budgetary Responsibility or Delegation of Authority Levels:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, Computer, Information Systems, Engineering or its equivalent.
Other Certifications:
ITIL®
MCSA
CCNA
Language:
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Job Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
5 – 6 years of relevant work experience
Strong IT Infrastructure Domain knowledge
Good Problem-Solving skills.
Decision-making ability
Good communication skills especially client facing ability
Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office package applications, especially Access and Excel.
Knowledge of programming and other applications would be added advantage.
Proficiency in data analysis software packages.
Ability twork under pressure.
Ability twork with minimal supervision
