Human Resources Officer

Job Summary

Responsible for recruitment and selection, onboarding and offboarding, Human Resource data and analytics, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee engagement and employee welfare.

Responsibilities

Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits;
Conduct recruitment processes, including the conduct of assessments, interviews and documentation of applicants and candidates;
Formulate, recommend and implement ideas and policies that ensure the organization is able to sustainably attract and retain talented and motivated employees;
Advice on vacancies in line with manpower planning;
Coordinate the induction program and facilitates employee onboarding process;
Continuously researches and appraises industry trends and practices on human capital development and management and advises Head, Human Resources accordingly;
Prepare offers of employment and employment contract for successful candidates and carries out reference checks for confirmation of new hires;
Conduct exit interviews when necessary to identify reasons for employee’s departure;
Work with different teams to drive the performance management process and prepare periodic performance management reports;
Handle complaints and grievance procedures;
Maintain current records of all staff details with respect to personal information, salary and benefits such as welfare, insurance, pension and medicals;
Assist with payroll processes;
Compile statistical reports concerning personal-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals and absenteeism rates;
Plan, organizes, direct and coordinate Learning and Development for Employees;
Prepare, review and edit job descriptions based on communication and inputs of Line Managers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related courses from a reputable university.
A certification or second degree in Human Resources is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, data analytics and Outlook.
A proven track record of executed HR-related tasks.
Knowledgeable on the application of Nigerian Labor laws.
Knowledgeable of HR functions and best practices.
Exceptional written/verbal/presentation skills.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
HR reporting skills: analytical and data driven.
Ability to form working relationships with people at all levels.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Meticulous attention to detail.
HR strategy creation and execution.
