Job Summary
The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the organizational growth and ensuring smooth HR operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the building materials sector, particularly with knowledge of POP and iron rod industries.
The role requires a strong background in HR management, with expertise in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with Nigerian labor laws.

Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for all roles, ensuring top talent acquisition to meet business needs.
Employee Onboarding and Orientation: Develop and implement onboarding programs to help new hires integrate seamlessly into the company.
Performance Management: Oversee the performance appraisal process, support managers in goal setting, and facilitate employee development.
Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee queries, address workplace conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
Compensation and Benefits: Manage payroll processing, benefits administration, and ensure timely payment in line with company policies.
Training and Development: Identify training needs, organize relevant programs, and evaluate outcomes to enhance employee skills and productivity.
HR Policies and Compliance: Develop and maintain HR policies in compliance with Nigerian labor laws, ensuring all practices are lawful and ethical.
Health and Safety: Implement health and safety standards in line with regulations, particularly for employees working with POP and iron materials.
Reporting: Provide regular HR reports and insights to management on staffing, attrition, performance, and other key HR metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in the building materials industry (POP and iron rod industry preferred).
Demonstrated understanding of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations for the construction materials sector is an advantage.

Proximity to Yaba, Surulere, or Unilag Akoka areas for easy commute.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
Not more than 40 years old.
