HR Business Partner (Manufacturing/FMCG)

Job Summary:

The company is seeking a well-qualified and highly motivated individual to serve as the HR Manager for its factory employees. The role will develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are suitable for meeting the company’s objectives.
The ideal candidate for this role is expected to have an in-depth knowledge of HR policies and practices and its impact on employees especially those working in the factory.
S/He must be highly skilled in conflict resolution and must be able to increase employee engagement in the workplace. The individual must demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and have a track record of taking and delivering relevant initiatives to organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units.
Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met along with the L&D department.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

First degree in Social Sciences or any related field
9 years’ cognate work experience from Manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
CIPM/SHRM certification preferred
Knowledge of developing and implementing HR strategies and plans.
Experience of developing and implementing HR processes, such as staff handbooks, employee surveys, performance evaluations, employee inductions, etc.
Leadership and supervisory experience
Effective conflict management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Ready to travel to every project location as per business and training needs.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with MS EXCEL and SAP/ SUCCESSFACTOR preferred.
