Responsible for preparing and serving food to patients and staff
Clean plates and service areas and ensure food safety

Job Description

Part of food preparation. Chop vegetables, assemble salads, bake goods, and prepare other basic foods
Serves meals to patients, staff and other clients
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
Clean work areas, tables, cabinets and ovens etc
Collect and place garbage and trash in designated containers
Prepare meals and beverages according to established recipes, portion sizes and dietary guidelines
Check and confirm production orders, place items on trays and examine trays for completeness.
Serves trays to patients using available push carts
Collect and stack dirty dishes on cart and return carts to kitchen
Operate kitchen equipment like dishwashers, warming trays and serving carts safely and efficiently
Able to collaborate and communicate with the kitchen staff, nurses and healthcare team to ensure accurate meal delivery and attend to any patient concerns.
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Serves tray to patient

Requirements

Minimum of OND in Hospitality or related field
