Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to help transform an investment holding group with a N250 billion portfolio of real estate (commercial, residential and industrial), agricultural, energy, hospitality and manufacturing.
The job holder will be responsible for the overall management of transactions, including coordinating end-to-end execution of transactions, providing leadership to the investment analysts/associate in the team and formulating strategies to achieve the group’s set investment objectives.
The job holder will come with a background of leading investment transactions end to end, a very strong proficiency in developing financial models and some decent exposure to project financ transactions.
Providing transaction management to subsidiaries as needed.

Responsibilities

DEALS ORIGINATION, EVALUATION AND EXECUTION

Drive the execution of transactions by liaising with investment banking and advisory partners, coordination of the development of in-depth analysis (including but not limited to the development of financial models)
Assess the attractiveness of specific investment opportunities with a strong focus on value and growth impact, and make recommendations to Executive Management.
Oversee and coordinate financial, commercial, risk, and legal due diligence on the investments and recommend appropriate courses of action.
Evaluate, structure, negotiate, and close new transactions, portfolio restructurings, and portfolio optimization.
Develop innovative and appropriate financial structures for complex transactions
Prepare investment concept notes and appraisal reports for presentation to the Executive Management, and to the Board of Directors.
Adhere to risk management policies and procedures in the process of deal sourcing and execution.
Ensure that all investment compliance regulations are met
Provide regular project monitoring and performance review updates and report
Perform any other duty assigned by the Group Executive Director.

REPORTING & OTHERS

Preparation of relevant reports on a regular basis as part of the management information system.
Development of investment dashboard to indicate performance at a glance
Maintain an up-to-date information and accurate schedules of investments.
Attend review meetings and make presentations as required.
Ensure recognition and treatment of all investments in line with reporting standards
Drive the implementation of initiatives toward the achievement of strategic goals.
Any other business-supporting duties as may be assigned by management

Qualifications

A good bachelor’s degree in business management or finance or a related discipline.
A post qualification of track record in investment management and/or financial advisory.
Specific exposure to infrastructure transactions will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical financial modelling skills.
