Head of Partnership

Overview

As a Head of Partnerships, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships that drive the growth and expansion of the company. This role involves identifying potential partners, negotiating deals, and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.

Develop and execute a comprehensive partnerships strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives.

Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, sales, product, and operations) to ensure smooth integration and execution of partnership agreements.
Act as the primary liaison between external partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives and deliverables.
Lead partnership-related initiatives, such as joint product development, co-marketing campaigns, or joint ventures.
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential partnership opportunities and assess industry trends.
Analyze the competitive landscape and recommend strategies to strengthen the company’s position through partnerships.
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring that agreements are legally sound and beneficial to the company.
Oversee the partnership lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, including financial obligations, milestones, and performance metrics.
Ensure that all partnership activities adhere to legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
Monitor the performance of existing partnerships, regularly reviewing KPIs and delivering reports to senior leadership.
Evaluate partnership outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and optimize processes to maximize partnership value.
Provide ongoing feedback and insights to internal teams based on partner performance and market developments.
Build and lead a high-performing partnerships team, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Work closely with leadership to align the team’s activities with the company’s long-term goals.

What it takes to succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, with a proven track record of developing and managing successful partnerships.
Strong negotiation and deal-making skills, with experience in structuring and closing complex agreements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze market trends, and identify business opportunities.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performance teams.
Knowledge of relevant industries, markets, and competitive landscapes.
