Job Summary
The Head of International Desk provides strategic leadership, oversight, and coordination for AYGF’s foreign offices, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission, strategic goals, and funding requirements.
This role is responsible for maintaining well-coordinated international operations by securing grants, mobilizing resources, and supporting country-level activities.
Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate all foreign offices to ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.
Establish and manage relationships with donors, government bodies, research institutions, and key stakeholders to support international programs.
Lead fundraising efforts, develop and submit funding proposals, and secure financial resources to sustain country operations and programs.
Ensure financial accountability, budget adherence, and impact measurement across international offices, while tracking program effectiveness.
Strengthen country office teams through training, provide technical support, and implement risk mitigation strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum of 6 years of experience in an international NGO or development organization, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in managing multi-country operations, grants, and partnerships.
Bachelor degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience in Grant mobilization and management
Experience in proposal development and writing
Experience in managing multiple teams across various department
Experience in conducting desk reviews and report writing.
