The incumbent is required to ensure the success of the technical services thrust of the company at all times. He/She is expected to be a leader, problem solver, innovative and attentive to details.
The person should have thorough knowledge of equipment and tools, highly customer centric and service oriented.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Complete oversight of the Engineering department
Set up and manage maintenance contracts as well as planned preventive maintenance for installed equipment
Create a structure that delivers prompt response and solutions
Handle and resolve customer complaints within set times
Oversight of manpower planning for the department
To run the department in a financial and cost efficient manner in line with approved budget.
Create and maintain a proper library for the Engineering Department with relevant drawings, copies of software and technical data on all equipment
Set up and manage a standard engineering workshop
Set up and update a database of installed equipment
Set process and procedures for callouts, maintenance and installation as well standard operating procedures
Formulate frequently asked questions (FAQs) for all installed equipment
Set up and drive capacity building initiatives in the department
Actively engage in maintenance contract Sales drive
Expectations
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
8 years relevant work experience in a Senior Engineering Role.
Minimum 5 years in a Managerial role within an Engineering department.
A Business School degree is a must (MBA etc)
A thorough understanding of Medical devices is a key advantage.
