Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to head our department.
The successful candidate will provide vision, direction, and leadership to the department, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
The Head of Department will be responsible for managing and developing the department’s staff, overseeing budgets, and driving innovation and excellence.

Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement the department’s strategic plan, aligned with the organization’s overall strategy.
Provide vision, direction, and leadership to the department.

People Management

Manage and develop a high-performing team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

Budgeting and Financial Management

Oversee the department’s budget, ensuring effective financial management and resource allocation.
Make strategic financial decisions to drive departmental growth and excellence.

Operational Management

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Identify and mitigate operational risks.

Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, customers, and partners.
​Communicate departmental goals, objectives, and achievements to stakeholders.

Requirements

Candidate MUST have a minimum of 8-10 years in the financial industry, specifically as it relates to the loan space. 
Sound knowledge and understanding of CBN regulatory laws.
Previous expertise in heading a department, driving performance, product creation and meeting sales targets.
Strong leadership, interpersonal and client relationship skills
A degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration from a reputable institution.
