Head of Commercial (Oil and Gas)

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our commercial & strategy to drive business growth, improve profitability, and enhance our company’s competitive position in the oil and gas sector. To deliver profitable and sustainable financial growth for shareholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Relevant certification in Sales or Marketing [e.g., Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)].
Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial roles/physical product trading within the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record of driving business growth and improving profitability
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex commercial contracts and agreements

Experience of:

Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, including market trends, regulatory requirements, and commercial best practices
Excellent leadership, management, exceptional interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
A blend of commercial awareness, analytical and creative thinking, partnered with a strategic mindset.
Extensive experience in market analysis and strategic planning with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets and business growth.
A deep understanding of business operations, finances, sales and marketing tactics and market conditions.
Computer literate in Word, Excel, Office Outlook, and Financial Software

Knowledge of:

In-depth understanding of the oil & gas sector, market research methods and analysis.
