Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies for the growth and profitability of the Agric Insurance unit.
Identify and analyze market trends to develop innovative insurance products for the agricultural sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, cooperatives, agribusinesses, and regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to agricultural insurance.
Lead a team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
Conduct risk assessments specific to the agricultural sector and develop appropriate coverage solutions.
Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to ensure smooth operations and prompt service delivery.
Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on the performance of the Agric Insurance unit.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Professional certification in insurance (e.g., CIIN, ACII) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the insurance sector, with a strong focus on agricultural insurance.
Proven track record of developing and managing successful insurance products.
Strong understanding of the agricultural value chain and its associated risks.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
