Group IT Manager

Job description

The Group IT Manager is responsible for leading and managing IT operations across the organization, ensuring the seamless delivery of IT services, systems, and infrastructure to meet current and future business needs. This role includes overseeing asset tracking, enforcing security measures, providing IT support, and maintaining compliance through regular audits, monitoring, and policy enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the Group IT strategy in alignment with the organization’s business objectives.
Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
Implement systems to monitor, track, and manage devices across the organization.
Oversee the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of systems and networks.
Manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement of hardware, software, and services.
Implement and enforce IT security policies to protect company data and systems.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and security audits to safeguard systems and data
Monitor compliance with IT policies and address any breaches promptly.
Establish and manage a responsive IT support and helpdesk function to address user issues effectively.
Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc audits of IT systems, processes, and assets.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards through inspections and reporting.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
8-10+ years of experience in IT management, including multi-site operations.
Proven track record in developing and implementing IT strategies.

Technical Expertise

Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, cloud solutions, cybersecurity frameworks, and asset management tools.
Hands-on experience with network infrastructure, ERP systems, and emerging technologies.
Proficiency in project management and change management methodologies.
