We are looking for a Group IT Lead who will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the Group IT systems and infrastructure. The suitable candidate will supervise the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s overall IT needs.
The successful candidate must possess relevant skills, proven professional experience and detailed knowledge of industry specific practices.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures to ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Audit systems and assess their outcomes. Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations across subsidiaries
Plan and coordinate the running of information technology systems to ascertain cost and productivity levels and recommend the upgrade of IT infrastructures when necessary
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT departments/units across subsidiaries within the group
Collaborate with senior and line management to analyse business needs and deploy IT solutions
Identify and proffer strategic solutions to all IT related issues and ensure all possible solutions have been exhausted before escalating to senior management
Requirements and skills
Minimum of 8-10 years working experience as an IT Manager in a complex business environment
Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science, MIS or similar fields
IT certifications (Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Technology Manager (CITM) etc)
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, computer hardware/software systems as well as data centre management and governance in addition to hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and installation
Ability to manage personnel across different locations using great interpersonal and communication skills with a display of high degree of integrity and professionalism
