Job Summary
As a Graphics Design Intern, you will work closely with our Production team, reporting directly to the Senior Digital Producer, and collaborate with our Communications and Social Media team. Your primary focus will be on creating visually engaging content for our campaigns, social media, and outreach programs. Photography skills are highly valued, as you will also contribute to capturing high-quality images for our events and projects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role will involve, but is not limited, to the following:
GRAPHICS DESIGN (70%)
Design eye-catching graphics for social media, websites, newsletters, and print materials.
Assist in creating visual content for campaigns, events, and branding initiatives.
Ensure all designs align with Nigeria Health Watch branding and messaging guidelines.
Collaborate with the team to develop creative concepts and visual storytelling.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND EDITING (20%)
Take and edit high-quality photographs for NGO events, field projects, and promotional use.
GENERAL SUPPORT (10%)
Support the team with other design and photography-related tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCE
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Basic photography skills and experience with photo editing software (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop).
A portfolio showcasing graphic design and photography work (if available).
Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Passion for social impact and alignment with Nigeria Health Watch mission.
A desire for personal development, growth, and learning.
